Mumbai women’s cricket team continued its winning streak in
the on-going senior women’s domestic T20, when they registered a comprehensive
win over Haryana at Jharkhand on Monday. Haryana posted a defendable target of
109-6 in 20 overs, batting first. Mansi Joshi (51) and Sonia Khatri (31)
contributed with the bat for Haryana. In reply, Mumbai veterans Sulakshana Naik
(47) and Sunetra Paranjape (41), who opened the Mumbai innings provided a
splendid start and made the chase look like a cake walk in the end. Mumbai
finished off the game in style with three balls to spare. Mumbai has qualified
to the next level and will play the semi-final against Himachal Pradesh on
Wednesday.
